India orders infosec red alert in case Mythos sparks crime spree

India’s Securities and Exchange Board (SEBI) has issued an advisory urging equities market participants to review and strengthen information security in response to risks posed by AI-driven vulnerability discovery tools (e.g., Anthropic’s Mythos). SEBI established a taskforce, recommended actions including patching, vulnerability audits, API inventories, zero-trust, and AI-augmented SOCs, and directed these measures at 19 classes of regulated entities while coordinating threat intelligence and third-party vendor reviews.
