Flickr emails users about data breach, pins it on 3rd party

Flickr disclosed a breach on February 5 resulting from a compromised third-party email service provider; attackers may have accessed personally identifiable information (names, emails, usernames, account types, IP addresses, general locations, and user activity). The company says it shut down access to the affected system, removed links to the vulnerable endpoint, notified regulators and its provider, and indicated that passwords and financial data were not impacted.
