Broadcom builds a better SASE out of VMware VeloCloud and Symantec

Broadcom introduced “VMware VeloCloud SASE, Secured by Symantec,” integrating VMware’s VeloCloud SD-WAN with Symantec’s Security Service Edge, while sharing telco activity at Mobile World Congress (including a Dish 5G performance pilot, Vodafone RAN programmability PoC, and Singtel’s Paragon targeting VMware’s Edge Stack); the report also notes KKR’s approximately $4B agreement to acquire VMware’s End User Compute portfolio and spin it into a standalone business focused on R&D, partnerships, and sales.
