Chinese national accused by Feds of spear-phishing for NASA, military source code

**Executive summary:** The Department of Justice alleges that Song Wu, a Chinese national employed by AVIC, conducted a spear‑phishing campaign from 2017–2021 impersonating colleagues to request and obtain restricted aerospace and defense source code and specialized engineering software from NASA, U.S. military branches, research universities, and contractors; some of the stolen material is alleged to have been sent to China and he has been charged with wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
