Pro-Iran crew turns DDoS into shakedown as Ubuntu.com stays down

313 Team, a pro‑Iran hacktivist cell, claimed responsibility for a sustained distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack and extortion attempt against Canonical/Ubuntu. The attack has kept ubuntu.com and multiple subdomains offline for over 12 hours, disrupting downloads and account logins; the group has threatened continued assaults unless contacted and has claimed similar recent attacks against other organizations.
