Cyberattack downs pharmacies across America

Change Healthcare, a major US healthcare IT provider handling billions of transactions, experienced a network interruption caused by a cyberattack; the company disconnected affected systems to protect partners and patients, resulting in widespread pharmacy prescription-processing outages and some customers paying cash. UnitedHealth stated a "suspected nation-state associated cyber security threat actor" gained access to parts of Change's IT environment, and the company is working with security experts and law enforcement to restore services.
