Anthropic reconfigures its cool kids security program

Anthropic has merged Project Glasswing and its Cyber Verification Program into a three-tier offering (Defense, Red Team, Specialized) and reports that partners and its open-source scans identified large numbers of verified vulnerabilities (around 129,000 between April–July 2026 plus ~5,500 additional finds), with more than 33,000 rated critical or high; however, only a small fraction of true positives (516 of 5,674) have been patched, exposing a significant remediation gap while the company adjusts data-retention and access policies for program participants.
