International law enforcement disrupted the 8Base ransomware operation (active since 2022) in a coordinated takedown that included arrests in Thailand and Europe, seizure of the gang’s dark web portal, disruption of over 100 associated servers, and recovery of evidence; 8Base is alleged to have stolen roughly $16 million from more than 1,000 victims and operated as an affiliate of the Phobos ransomware network.
