Deadbeat dad faked his own death by hacking government databases

A US man, Jesse Kipf, was sentenced to 81 months after hacking government systems using stolen credentials to record his own death in Hawaii's Death Registry, then accessed other states' death registries and multiple government and corporate networks which he attempted to sell on the dark net; he admitted the crimes and faces restitution.
