White House report dishes deets on all 11 major government breaches from 2023

The White House FY2023 FISMA report recorded a 9.9% YoY rise to 32,211 cybersecurity incidents across federal agencies in 2023; most were low-impact but 11 were designated major incidents including ransomware and multiple large-scale data exposures caused by compromised vendors/contractors, MOVEit/Cl0p activity, a zero-day exploitation, phishing (including a state-linked phishing event), and exploitation of unpatched web platform vulnerabilities that collectively exposed millions of individuals' PII and sensitive records.
