Kaiser Permanente handed over 13.4M people's data to Microsoft, Google, others

Kaiser Permanente disclosed that online tracking and analytics code on its websites and mobile apps likely transmitted personal information for about 13.4 million current and former members to third-party vendors (including Google, Microsoft Bing, and X/Twitter). Shared data reportedly included names, IP addresses, indications of account sign-in, site navigation behavior, and health-related search terms; Kaiser says no SSNs, passwords, or financial data were shared, has removed the technologies, and is notifying affected individuals.
