Healthcare org Equinox notifies 21K patients and staff of data theft

Equinox, a New York State health and human services provider, notified 21,565 clients and staff that an April 29 data security incident resulted in unauthorized access and likely exfiltration of personal and protected health information; the LockBit ransomware group claimed and later leaked tens of gigabytes of data via its extortion site.
