Nearly a million non-profit donors' details left exposed in unsecured database

Close to a million donor records from DonorView were found exposed in an online database, including names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, payment methods, and sensitive details about children (medical conditions and permissions for marketing use). Infosec researcher Jeremiah Fowler discovered 948,029 records and reported the issue; DonorView secured the database after disclosure, but the duration of exposure and whether data was accessed by unauthorized parties remains unknown, raising risks of targeted phishing, fraud, and privacy harms to donors.
