Gym giant Basic-Fit confirms data on a million members stolen in cyberattack

Basic-Fit has disclosed an unauthorized access incident affecting around 1 million members across six European countries (including the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Spain). Stolen data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and bank details; passwords and identity-document copies were not accessed. The breach was detected and stopped within minutes, affected members and the data protection authority were notified, and the company warned customers to watch for phishing.
