Thousands more Oregon residents learn their health data was stolen in TriZetto breach

TriZetto Provider Solutions suffered a November 2024 breach that exposed protected health information for hundreds of thousands of patients (TPS reports potential exposure of more than 700,000). The compromise, discovered and remediated on Oct 2, 2025, prompted notifications across multiple US states, engagement of Mandiant and law enforcement, and multiple class-action lawsuits against Cognizant; there is currently no evidence of misuse or financial data theft and the incident was not a ransom event.
