Spamouflage trolls pretend to be American patriots on X, TikTok ahead of US presidential election

Graphika reports that Spamouflage (aka Dragonbridge), a Beijing-linked information operation, has created dozens of fake personas on X and TikTok to push pro-China narratives and amplify U.S. political and social divisions using coordinated posts, AI-generated content and emerging deepfakes; the accounts have limited traction overall but include at least one viral video and are expected to continue and improve ahead of the U.S. election.
