Cryptonator, an online cryptocurrency wallet and exchange, was seized by US and German authorities after prosecutors alleged it facilitated an international money-laundering scheme that processed tens of millions of dollars tied to sanctioned entities, stolen funds, dark-web marketplaces and ransomware; the company's alleged CEO, Roman Boss (Pikulev), has been indicted for operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
