Wyze experienced a security incident after an outage caused many devices to come back online simultaneously, during which a recently integrated third-party caching library mixed up user and device mappings and exposed Events (camera clips) from other users to approximately 13,000 accounts (1,504 of which viewed the feeds). The company revoked access, is adding verification and additional safeguards, and plans more rigorous testing of client libraries.
