Researchers disclosed GPUHammer, a practical Rowhammer attack against Nvidia A6000 GPUs using GDDR6 memory that can induce bit-flips in GPU memory and significantly degrade AI model accuracy (up to ~80% in their PoC). The issue is documented in a USENIX Security 2025 paper and prompted an Nvidia advisory; mitigation is to enable ECC (nvidia-smi -e 1 and reboot), which reduces performance and usable memory.
