Microsoft cleans up hot mess of Patch Tuesday preview

Microsoft resolved multiple reliability issues introduced by the Windows 11 September preview update (KB5043145) — including multiple restarts, blue/green screens and USB/Bluetooth failures — and rolled those fixes into the October Patch Tuesday release. The October update also patched a remote code execution vulnerability that had seen exploitation in the wild (albeit requiring the victim to install a file locally); Microsoft advised affected administrators to use Known Issue Rollback or Group Policy to remediate systems, and reminded customers of upcoming end-of-servicing dates for several Windows 11 editions.
