AT&T admits massive 70M+ mid-March customer data dump is real though old

AT&T confirmed that a dataset of roughly 73 million current and former customer records available on a cybercrime forum contains genuine personal information — potentially including names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, account numbers and verification passcodes — though the company says it has no evidence the data was exfiltrated from its systems and the dataset may be a recycled set that has circulated since 2019/2021.
