Microsoft will block TLS 1.0 and 1.1 for POP3 and IMAP4 connections to Exchange Online starting July 2026; support for these legacy TLS versions has been deprecated for years and Microsoft expects most modern clients (which use TLS 1.2+) to be unaffected. Organizations using opt-in legacy endpoints or old clients may experience connection failures and should verify or update their email clients to avoid disruption.
