Cybercrooks jet off with Manchester Airports Group customer data

Manchester Airports Group disclosed a cybersecurity incident in which an extortion group stole a quantity of customer data—estimated at 8.7 million records—with the majority being email addresses collected during public Wi‑Fi sign-ups. The attacker accessed a system and exfiltrated files from a third-party hosted database; MAG reported no ransomware, no payment data were exposed, no airport operations were disrupted, and the company is working with authorities while notifying affected customers.
