4 cuffed following probe into holiday scheme for cybercrooks

Authorities in Moldova, working with the UK NCA and partners in Spain, the US, France, and INTERPOL, disrupted overlapping corruption schemes that allegedly enabled high-profile cybercriminals—some linked to ransomware—to evade detection by blocking/deleting Red Notices and receiving travel tips. Four individuals were detained following 33 searches, and digital forensics teams are examining seized devices. INTERPOL emphasized the issue affects only a small number of the 70,000+ Red Notices, while the investigation into the broader network and its enablers remains ongoing.
