Spy school dropout: GCHQ intern jailed for swiping classified data

A former GCHQ intern admitted copying top-secret software files from a secure network to personal devices and home hard drives during a placement and was jailed. Prosecutors say the stolen material related to a multimillion-pound, taxpayer-funded piece of software and its removal created a significant risk to national security; there is no evidence he attempted to sell or otherwise exploit the data.
