Only one critical issue disclosed as part of Microsoft Patch Tuesday

Microsoft's monthly security update discloses 49 vulnerabilities — one critical remote-code-execution (CVE-2024-30080, an MSMQ use-after-free) and numerous high-severity RCE and elevation-of-privilege flaws affecting Outlook, Win32K, Wi‑Fi drivers, DFS, Azure Monitor Agent, kernel drivers and others; several are flagged as “more likely” to be exploited. Cisco Talos released Snort rules (63581–63591, 63596–63597 and Snort 3 pre-processor rules 300937–300940) to detect exploitation attempts and recommends customers apply updates and rule sets.
