Advancing Cybersecurity Management With Qualys Cloud Agent

This post outlines two enhancements to the Qualys Cloud Agent: Agent Version Control, which standardizes agent versions across endpoints, enables controlled and automated updates, supports customized update profiles by platform, and allows access to previous non-EOS binaries; and Change Activation Key, which lets large organizations seamlessly switch agents between activation keys without reinstalling, automatically delinking old attributes and applying new ones while preserving manually activated modules. The features are enabled in Cloud Platform releases 3.16.2 (Agent Version Control) and 3.17 (Change Activation Key), with minimum agent versions of Windows v5.5 and Linux v6.3 for the latter, and require enablement via Qualys support.
