SentinelLABS reports an ongoing campaign where actors publish YouTube tutorials promoting purported crypto trading/MEV bots that instruct victims to deploy and fund weaponized Solidity contracts; those contracts use obfuscation techniques (XOR, string concatenation, large-decimal-to-hex casting) to hide attacker EOAs and have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars stolen (notably a wallet with ~244.9 ETH, ≈ $902k). The report includes indicators of compromise (contract SHA-1s, hosting URLs, attacker EOAs) and warns users to avoid deploying unverified code from social media.
