Shift-Left Detections with Abstract

This paper advocates a Shift-Left approach to security detections using Abstract’s streaming analytics platform, emphasizing real-time, in-stream correlation across diverse sources (identity, assets, threat intelligence) to reduce latency, improve MTTD/MTTR, and offload detection from SIEMs. It describes how the platform’s built-in correlation engine and ASTRO team’s rule library and proprietary threat intelligence enable proactive detection and lower operational costs, positioning the SIEM as an optional destination rather than the primary detection layer.
