This campaign aims to tackle persistent security myths in favor of better advice

Hacklore.org, launched by cybersecurity veteran Bob Lord, aims to dispel long-standing cybersecurity myths and refocus users and small organizations on effective practices like software updates, strong passwords/passkeys, and multi-factor authentication. Backed by an open letter signed by 80+ experts from major companies and academia, the initiative promotes practical guidance and supports “secure by design” and “secure by default” principles to improve overall digital safety.
