F5 to acquire AI security firm CalypsoAI for $180 million

F5 announced it will acquire CalypsoAI for $180 million to integrate model-agnostic AI security—covering prompt injection and jailbreak defenses, automated red-team testing, and real-time guardrails—into its Application Delivery and Security Platform. The move reflects accelerating enterprise AI adoption and associated compliance and security challenges, and follows F5’s recent acquisitions of Fletch and MantisNet; the deal is expected to close by Sept. 30.
