Federal prosecutors charged Denis Nikolayevich Obrezko in connection with a sprawling cyber-espionage campaign attributed to the Russia-aligned APT Void Blizzard (Laundry Bear). The affidavit and public reporting say the group used stolen session tokens, VPNs and U.S.-based proxies plus typosquatted domains to bypass re-authentication and geographic blocks, harvesting cloud emails/files, Microsoft Teams content, and Entra ID configurations across government, defense suppliers, NGOs, and critical infrastructure; investigators verified intrusions at multiple U.S. companies and other intelligence agencies have reported broader compromises.
