DOJ, Microsoft seize more than 100 domains used by the FSB

Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Justice seized over 100 domains used by Star Blizzard, an FSB-linked hacking unit, that ran sustained spear-phishing and credential-theft campaigns (including deployment of custom malware) targeting civil society, journalists, and U.S. government and defense personnel between 2023 and 2024; the action complements prior indictments, sanctions, and intelligence reporting but is not expected to fully stop the actor.
