Interpol leads cybercrime crackdown across 13 countries in Middle East, North Africa

Interpol's Operation Ramz was a coordinated four-month effort across 13 MENA countries to dismantle cybercrime infrastructure and criminal networks involved in phishing, malware distribution, banking-data theft and fraud, and human-trafficking–linked scam operations; the operation resulted in 201 arrests, 53 seized servers, the identification of 382 suspects and nearly 4,000 victims, and the sharing of ~8,000 data items with partners to support ongoing investigations.
