Bipartisan Senate bill takes aim at ‘overly burdensome’ cybersecurity regs

A bipartisan bill from Sens. Gary Peters and James Lankford would have the White House national cyber director convene an interagency committee to identify and reconcile overly burdensome, inconsistent, or contradictory federal cybersecurity regulations; establish minimum standards and reciprocity among agencies; launch a pilot program with sector risk management agencies; and issue annual reports to relevant congressional committees.
