DOJ, FBI seize Flax Typhoon-linked hacking tools Microscan, FishHub

U.S. authorities seized domain-based infrastructure for two hacking tools—Microscan (a vulnerability scanner) and FishHub (a spearphishing downloader)—tied to Integrity Technology Group and the Chinese government-linked Flax Typhoon. The advisory and seizure note use of a Mirai-variant IoT botnet to enable scanning at scale, alongside spearphishing, cross-site scripting, password spraying, and credential/email exfiltration targeting critical infrastructure and organizations in multiple countries.
