Kiteworks lifts shutdown advisory after ‘credible threat intelligence’ from federal authorities

Kiteworks temporarily took customer production systems offline after receiving 'credible threat intelligence' of an imminent attack; during the outage it discovered and patched a previously unknown critical vulnerability in its Advanced Forms product (affecting ~50 organizations), released fixes in version 9.5.1, reported no signs of exploitation, and worked with federal authorities and partners.
