Authorities seize KillSec extortion group infrastructure, arrest 3 alleged members

Europol, the U.S. Department of Justice and partner countries executed a coordinated takedown of KillSec (aka Kill Security Ransomware Group), seizing the group’s data‑leak site, five central servers and at least 110 TB of stolen data, and arresting key members — including a 16‑year‑old alleged leader and a negotiator indicted in Puerto Rico — after the group allegedly compromised roughly 500 organizations since 2024 to steal sensitive information and extort victims.
