SonicWall pushes patch for critical vulnerability in SonicOS platform 

SonicWall disclosed a critical SonicOS vulnerability (CVE-2024-40766, CVSS 9.3) impacting many Gen5, Gen6, and Gen7 firewall models that can enable unauthorized access and potentially crash affected devices; patches have been released and administrators are advised to restrict remote management and update firmware.
