Ukrainian national pleads guilty for roles in Zeus, IcedID malware operations

Vyacheslav Igorevich Penchukov pleaded guilty in a U.S. federal court for roles in the Zeus and IcedID/BokBot malware operations that stole bank credentials, used money mules to launder stolen funds, and enabled delivery of additional malware including ransomware; victims included the University of Vermont Medical Center, which incurred a $30M loss and two weeks of major service disruption. He faces up to 20 years per count and sentencing is scheduled for May 9.
