State Department wants ‘digital solidarity’ at center of tech diplomacy

The plan prioritizes engagement in international standards bodies and UN forums, pursuit of a balanced cybercrime treaty, support for cross-border data flows, and pushback against digital sovereignty/protectionism and China’s growing tech influence, while addressing concerns like TikTok.
