Microsoft, alongside international law enforcement and industry partners, executed a joint court-authorized disruption of the Amadey loader and StealC infostealer—two widely used, modular malware-as-a-service tools that often operate together—using legal tools (RICO) and data from AI-assisted analysis to dismantle command-and-control infrastructure tied to over 140,000 infected systems, aiming to impede the attackers’ ability to scale and recover.
