New ‘Termite’ ransomware group claims responsibility for Blue Yonder cyberattack

A newly formed ransomware group dubbed Termite claimed responsibility for a significant attack on managed-services provider Blue Yonder, asserting the exfiltration of 680 GB of data (databases, emails, and over 200,000 insurance documents) and threatening public release if ransom demands are not met. The incident disrupted operations for major customers including Starbucks and U.K. grocery chains, and Blue Yonder has engaged external cybersecurity specialists; Termite is reported to use a modified Babuk ransomware variant and has been linked to multiple victims across sectors and countries.
