Ransomware group releases screenshots in attempted extortion of Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle was hit by a ransomware attack attributed to the Rhysida RaaS group; attackers published sample stolen documents (including passport scans and tax forms with SSNs) and demanded 100 BTC, causing disruptions to baggage handling, check-in kiosks, ticketing, Wi‑Fi, passenger displays, the port website and apps. The port refused to pay, is investigating the scope of data exfiltration, and is working to restore affected systems and notify potentially impacted stakeholders.
