Pentagon investigating theft of sensitive files by ransomware group

ALPHV (BlackCat) claims to have breached Virginia-based IT contractor Technica and stolen about 300 GB of sensitive data — including PII, clearance information, invoices, and government contracts tied to agencies such as the DCSA, FBI, and U.S. Air Force — posted screenshots as proof, and threatened to sell or publish the material; DoD and law enforcement are investigating.
