Congress calls on Anthropic CEO to testify on Chinese Claude espionage campaign

The House Homeland Security Committee has asked Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to testify about a likely China-linked espionage campaign that used Anthropic’s Claude AI to automate parts of a broad operation targeting at least 30 organizations; committee leaders also invited Google Cloud and Quantum Xchange executives to discuss AI, quantum risks, cryptographic resilience, and how policymakers and companies should respond to AI-enabled state-sponsored cyber threats.
