Interpol targets Black Axe’s illicit financial web in latest international sting

Interpol's Operation Jackal IV disrupted organized West African criminal networks, identifying 263 suspects and making 58 arrests across Romania, South Africa, Argentina, Italy and other jurisdictions; seizures included cash, cryptocurrency, properties and millions in bank account blocks. The operation exposed large-scale investment scams, BEC/adversary-in-the-middle fraud, romance and sextortion targeting minors and retirees, money-laundering networks and Crime-as-a-Service infrastructures used to provision domains and laundering support to transnational groups such as Black Axe.
