House intel bill includes provisions on state and local threat intelligence, election security, AI

An annual intelligence authorization bill approved by the House Intelligence Committee would create a pilot program for cyber threat information sharing with state and local governments, require ODNI and GAO assessments of current information-sharing practices (including clearance and deconfliction issues), expand IC use of AI for cyber missions, and add election-security reporting requirements; the bill also orders a DOE assessment of foreign cyberthreats to critical energy infrastructure.
