Volt Typhoon (tracked by Dragos as Voltzite) is a China-sponsored APT conducting long-term, high-opsec intrusions against U.S. critical infrastructure — including electric utilities, satellite/telecom providers, and emergency management systems — using living-off-the-land techniques and zero-day exploitation (Ivanti VPN). Dragos and U.S. agencies report multi-year access, strategic targeting with potential for disruptive or destructive impacts, and overlaps with other OT-focused clusters.
