McAfee researchers uncovered an Android app on the Amazon Appstore called "BMI CalculationVsn" that disguises itself as a simple BMI calculator while enumerating installed apps, intercepting and uploading SMS messages (to a Firebase bucket), and including a screen-recording service (partially implemented). The report provides distribution and C2 IoCs, a sample hash, developer impersonation details, and notes the sample appears to be in development and has been removed from the store.
